Let\u2019s discuss how she earned this\nhonor and what her accomplishment means for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Is an AGD Fellowship?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AGD is an acronym that stands for Academy of General\nDentistry. The Academy of General Dentistry is a professional association of\ndentists across the United States and Canada. The AGD encourages dentists to\nsharpen their skills through continuing education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To become a Fellow of the AGD, Dr. Fowler had to maintain an\nactive AGD membership for at least three years, participate in at least 500\nhours of approved continuing education, <em>and <\/em>she had to pass a\ncomprehensive written exam \u2014 the exam has a total of 400 questions! Only 6% of general\ndentists have achieved this honor, and now Dr. Fowler is among them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What AGD Fellowship Means for You<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Fowler\u2019s FAGD is more than another item for her to put\non her resume. Her new title \u2014 and the extensive training behind it \u2014 brings\nsome outstanding benefits to you:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>FAGD dentists must have at least 500 hours of\nqualifying CE, while other dentists only need 24 hours of continuing education\nevery 2 years. Thus, Dr. Fowler\u2019s patients can be confident that they care they\nreceive is coming from a highly qualified dentist.<\/li><li>FAGD dentists regularly learn new techniques and\nways of approaching dental care.
